Artist Puppet

The Artist is an original creation and principle character of Stuck In a Rut short film and was created as a part of my final major project in university.

The Puppet itself was sculpted from a soft wax based clay before a plaster mould was made. A combination of cast Latex and Polyurethane Foam around a wire armature creates the final puppet ready for filming.

The final finish was achieved with acrylic based washes and dry brushes over the details with the pigmented latex creating the base tones.
